Meizu Teases Event for November 4th; Could be the Launch of the MX4 Pro

We’ve seen tons of leaks when it comes to the Meizu MX4 Pro, some facts were even officially confirmed. Meizu’s Vice President, Li Nan, was rather active on social networks lately and has thus confirmed that Meizu MX4 Pro will be launched in November. He even hinted that the device will sport a fingerprint scanner instead of the good old “dot” below the screen, which we’re used to seeing on Meizu MX devices. Specifications leaked on GFX Bench for this device and afterwards OppoMart has listed the device on their website and confirmed its specifications, more on that later.

Meizu has posted something interesting on company’s official Weibo (Chinese Social Network) page, an image of a vinyl and a date below it. The whole image is a vinyl record basically, which strongly suggests we’ll see something music-related announced there. I highly doubt this has anything to do with the Meizu MX4 Pro though, it is possible, but I believe Meizu will announce that device later in November and definitely won’t tease us with vinyl. I honestly have no idea what Meizu is planning to announce, it could be some sort of an accessory or could be a pure software event. Perhaps they will announce something together with Alibaba again, who knows, we’ll find out soon though. I hope Meizu will confirm the launch date of Meizu MX4 Pro on November 4th though.

This is not all we also have some new leaked images for you which basically go hand-in-hand to what we’ve seen thus far. If you take a look at the gallery down below you’ll notice a render in the 1st image and an actual device posing for the camera in the second. It seems like Meizu MX4 Pro will definitely sport the rectangular button in the end, everything is pointing to it lately. I really wanted it to be the nice oval one we’ve seen in a couple of renders, oh well, the device looks rather solid like this as well. Do you like this design at all or would you prefer Meizu to go with some other design approach?

According to GFX Bench and OppoMart listing, the device will sport a 5.5-inch 2K display (by Sharp), 3GB of RAM and 16, 32 and 64GB of internal storage, depending on the model you get of course. 20.7-megapixel camera (Sony’s IMX220 sensor) will be this device’s main shooter, just like the one used in the original Meizu MX4. 2-megapixel camera will be located at the front of the device (Sony’s IMX208 sensor). Meizu MX4 Pro will ship with Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box with Flyme 4.0 OS on top of it, though it will probably get upgraded to Android 5.0 Lollipop in due time. Black and White colors are mentioned as well and this is of course a 4G LTE device. 3100mAh battery will ship with this handset while the device itself will reportedly measure 144 x 75.2 x 8.9mm and weight 147 grams.
