The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is set to launch here in the US in a couple of weeks – October 17th to be specific – and a bunch of other countries. While the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge, we have no idea when that’s coming, unfortunately. Samsung is working with the Connect Car Consortium (CCC) for MirrorLink. Which HTC has already pledged to the Connected Car Consortium earlier this year with the HTC One M8.

Now that Samsung is on-board with the CCC for MirrorLink, you can expect to see the popularity of MirrorLink grow drastically, as Samsung is hugely popular. The Galaxy line alone brings in tens of millions of smartphones each year. And the Galaxy Note 4 will be their best seller, as the previous Galaxy Note’s before it have been. It’s great to see Samsung working with the CCC for MirrorLink, but it’d be better to see them jump on board with Android Auto as well. Hopefully we’ll see something from Samsung for Android Auto, I’m sure they’ve got something up their sleeves there.
