Mid-way through September it was reported the Motorola Moto E was on its way to the low-cost US carrier, Republic Wireless. Well folks it now seems that day is here. The Moto E is now available to buy on Republic Wireless offering cheap plans for WiFi/Calling. If you missed the previous report, the Moto E on Republic Wireless fuses a cheap (but decent) device along with cheap (and OK) network plans. Republic Wireless offers plans starting from as little as $5. In fact, there are three main plans available for the Moto E – The cheapest is obviously the $5 plan which is a WiFi only option offering unlimited talk, text and data (over WiFi). The next option up will set you back $10 a month and this option offers unlimited talk and text (over WiFi and Cell) and unlimited data (over WiFi). The third option which is the most expensive costing $25 a month and this is the 3G option which offers unlimited talk and text (over WiFi and Cell) and unlimited data (over WiFi and 3G)
In terms of the Moto E, the cost on Republic Wireless is set at a cool $99 although this of course does not include tax. However, either way it is a good price for a hot phone. If you need to know what the phone offers then here we go. The Moto E comes with a 4.3″ screen with a 540 x 960 resolution (256 ppi). Inside, the specs although a little on the basic side are great when considering the price with 1GB RAM and a Dual-core Snapdragon 200 processor (clocks at 1.2 GHz) offered. In terms of memory this is also a little minimal with only 4GB internal storage offered although the device does come with a microSD card slot (up to 32GB). It is also worth noting that on the camera side the E comes with a 5MP rear camera and in terms of battery offers a 1,980 mAh battery. Lastly, the device comes running on Android 4.4.4 (KitKat).
So yes, there you go. The Moto E has arrived on Republic Wireless for $99 joining what is quickly becoming a Motorola line up including the Moto G (first generation) and flagship Moto X (also first generation). The Moto E is currently available in either white or black and only as a 4GB option. Although republic Wireless do conveniently offer a 16GB SD card for $16 on the Add to Cart page. So, anyone interested in the Moto E for $99 on Republic Wirelesss?
