Motorola G (2nd Gen) On WIND for $0 on WINDtab $40 and up or $249 Outright

Motorola really made a statement this year about how they (Google) thought the world should view a smartphone – and they did it from the low-end (Moto E and Moto G) to the high-end (Moto X, Droid Turbo and Nexus 6).  The second generation of the Motorola Moto G has just blown into WIND Mobile for $0 on a WINDtab plan of $40 and higher, $99 on their $35 plan or $249 as an outright purchase.

When Motorola announced the first Moto G, they said that owning a great smartphone shouldn’t be a privilege, but a choice…the Moto G gave people that used to have to buy a used flagship device, the choice to purchase a brand new device…hence the Moto G and even more affordable Moto E were born.  The first Moto G became Motorola’s bestselling headset of all time and was a hit in Canada.  The new Moto G 2014 was just announced on September 4 in Chicago and released the next day on Motorola’s website for sale.  It had even more features and specs packed into it as Motorola pushed the envelope in value.

The new Moto G sports a 5-inch HD IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and 294 pixels-per-inch (PPI)…all protected with Corning’s Gorilla Glass 3 for durability.  A Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz powers the device coupled to an Adreno 305 GPU.  It has 1GB of RAM and either 8GB or 16GB of internal storage – expandable via a microSD for up to 32GB of additional storage.  It has a 8MP (4:3) main camera sensor, LED Flash, 4X Digital Zoom, Slow motion video, Burst mode, Auto HDR and Panorama shooting.  It also comes with a 2MP front-facing camera capable of 720p video.

Supplying the power is a 2070mAh battery and software wise it is sporting Android 4.4.4 KitKat.  It will hook up with 2G and 3G networks, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, GPA, GLONASS and Digital DTV (Brazil Only).  It measures 141.5mm x 70.7mm x 6.0-11mm and weighs in at 149 grams.  Another nice thing about the Motorola devices is that there will be a quick upgrade to Android 5.0 Lollipop once it is available.  Please hit us up on our Google+ Page and let us know if the Moto G is a device you will be going out to pick up…as always, we would love to hear from you…and check out the short Moto G video below:
