Sony is beginning to make more of a splash in the U.S. market this year with their mobile business, offering a selection of handsets through carriers and the U.S. online Sony store. In years past Sony hasn’t exactly made it easy for U.S. consumers to get a hold of their Xperia lineup of devices. They haven’t been completely absent, but they haven’t made themselves extremely available either, and they seem to be shifting away from that currently and hopefully going forward. With the current flagship for Sony, the Xperia Z3, coming to T-mobile and with them recently launching the Xperia Z3v on Verizon Wireless, it isn’t a huge surprise to see them launch a couple more phones through their online webstore.
The Sony Xperia T3 in unlocked form(model number D5106)is now available on Sony’s online store for only $399.99, which should give anyone looking to consider a Sony branded smartphone for their next device a decent little option. It features a 5.3-inch HD TRILUMINOS display with an 8MP camera sensor on the back, and it features 1GB of RAM and is powered by a Qualcomm MSM8928-2 Quad Core CPU clocked at 1.4GHz. At that price, users can get some of the great things Sony brings to the Android operating system without having to fork out the more expensive retail costs that are associated with their flagship lineup, like with the Sony Xperia Z2 which Sony made available through the U.S. version of the Sony store earlier this year some months after the phone officially launched in other regions.
Also now available through the Sony Store, is the LTE capable Sony Xperia M2(model number D2306)which comes in at a significant amount lower than the Xperia T3, costing just $279.99. It features a 4.8-inch display, a 10MP camera on the back, and it has 1GB of RAM and is powered by a Qualcomm MSM8926 Quad Core CPU clocked at 1.2GHz. Both devices feature support for LTE bands 4, 7, and 17, so that should meant compatibility with both T-Mobile and AT&T for any of those interested who subscribe to either of those two carriers. You can check out both phones at the Sony Store.
