Two Alleged Meizu MX4 Pro Models Pop Up In A Certification Filing

Today is the last day of October and we know for a fact that Meizu MX4 Pro is coming in November. Meizu is holding an event on November 4th, though we’re still not sure if they’ll introduce MX4 Pro there. The teaser which the company released doesn’t exactly say that they’re releasing a new phone, rather “here’s a new audio gadget”, or something like that. Anyhow, we’ll find out soon enough. In the meantime, we have some more leaks to share with you. Two new Meizu models were spotted at the certification center in China, M462 and M462U. These models quite probably represent the upcoming Meizu MX4 Pro, the only question is will Meizu announce 2 different models or the same ones but on different carriers, if I had to guess I’d say the latter option will happen. M462U probably stand for China Unicom or something like that, though we have no way of confirming that of course. Meizu could actually end up presenting two devices carrying different hardware specification here, though I somehow doubt that will happen. 3 additional models popped up there as well, M460k, M460A and M461, though those are probably the subversion of the current Meizu MX4.

Meizu MX4 Pro info has been leaking out for quite some time now. We’ve already seen a ton of renders and images of the devices, Meizu’s VP basically confirmed the device will sport a fingerprint sensor below the screen and the device’s specifications leaked on GFXBench benchmarks. According to those benchmarks, the device will feature a 5.5-inch QHD display (probably manufactured by Sharp), 3GB of RAM and 16, 32 and 64GB of internal storage, depending on the model you get. 20.7-megapixel camera (with Sony’s IMX220 sensor) will be this device’s main shooter, just like the one used in the original Meizu MX4. 2-megapixel camera will be located at the front of the device (Sony’s IMX208 sensor). Meizu MX4 Pro will ship with Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box with Flyme 4.0 OS on top of it, though the handset will most  get an upgrade to Android 5.0 Lollipop in due time. Black and White color options have been mentioned as well and this is of course a 4G LTE device. 3100mAh battery will ship with this handset while the device itself will measure 144 x 75.2 x 8.9mm and weight 147 grams, if GFXBench benchmarks are to believed of course.
