CPU-Z Gets updated
This week, CPU-Z, a popular app for showing the true specifications of your device, was updated. It’s changelog is as follows:
- Improved support of big.LITTLE technology
- Adreno GPU clock speed
- Screen size (in inches)
- Battery capacity (in mAh)
- Added new SoCs : HiSilicon Kirin 920, Exynos 5433, Snapdragon 815 …
- New icon
Lyft gets Ready for Lollipop
Lyft, the popular car-sharing service, has updated their app again. Further readying the app for Lollipop compatibility. Now it’s not 100% there just yet, but it is getting there. Additionally they also announced Lyft for Work this week.
Straw Launches on Android
For those of you that have never heard of Straw before, it’s a new social polling service that’s been available on the web for quite a while now. But it’s heading to Android now. With the app you can sign in with Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and even Microsoft. And then get to creating your polls. It’s pretty easy.
VSCO CAM Hits v3.1
This week, VSCO cam also got an update. This is the popular camera app that first made it big over on iOS and has now switched over to Android. It brings a pretty large changelog as well:

SwiftKey Gets support for Chinese
In SwiftKey’s latest update, you can now use Chinese as a language, which is going to be a big deal for those in China. However it is in Beta, so there’s that.
Instagram Intros Discovery and Caption Editing on Android
With the latest update to Instagram on Android, you can now edit your captions, finally. Also, they’ve made discovery even easier.
“In this update, we’re continuing to improve the Explore page on Instagram by making it faster to find people you want to follow. With this in mind, you’ll see that the Explore icon at the bottom of your screen has changed to a magnifying glass. When you open Explore, you’ll now see two tabs: Photos and People. The Photos tab has not changed. It contains the same scrolling grid of photos and videos you already know. The new People tab highlights interesting accounts for you to discover.”
