We’ve been waiting for the Asus ZenWatch to make its retail debut for some time now, and it looks like that time is finally here. We saw just a day ago that the ZenWatch had a listing created on the Google Play Store but you weren’t able to order it until just a little while ago. If you head to the Google Play Store and go to the devices section, or just click the Google Play Store link at the bottom of this article, you can grab your very own Asus ZenWatch for an extremely reasonable $199. The ZenWatch is easily the most elegant square smartwatch out there, featuring a subtle curved display and a super elegant bezel and side band, the ZenWatch looks much more like it came out of the designer section of a department store than from the Google Play Store. Let’s not forget to mention the rose gold band nested between the two layers of steel on the watch or the genuine stitched tan leather band that comes with the watch either.
Of course no description would be complete without talking about what makes the ZenWatch unique in the software realm. A bio sensor is included on the back of the ZenWatch to accurately take your heartrate and other health functions throughout the day, following in the footsteps tread by Motorola on the Moto 360. The AMOLED display will show those fantastic deep blacks, making those custom watch faces shine more than they already would have otherwise. Speaking of custom watch faces Asus has included a number of custom applications including Tap Tap, Find My Phone, Cover to Mute and more. There’s also some deep integration with Asus own Android phones and their ZenUI, so if you’ve got one of those phones you’re looking at more features than Android Wear already gives you. Given that this is still an Android Wear watch it will stay up to date with whatever Google releases, including the latest updates like offline music playback. Check out the Play Store link below and get yourself a ZenWatch if you already haven’t!
