Black Friday and technology really do go hand-in-hand, if you live in the U.S. that is. Black Friday, or commonly known as the day with insane discounts all over the U.S., is a great time to purchase a piece of technology. If it was too expensive for you before or you just didn’t want to pay as much then you can find a ton of stuff discounted in the US and in certain cases. In some cases, pay even 50% less than usual. Anyhow, Google is offering something as well. If you live in the States then it seems Google is offering $50 store credit for free on a bunch of their products. The best of the bunch is the original LG G Watch. Google is offering the Android Wear-powered LG G Watch for only $99, while the original price was $229, so this is basically a discount of $130. Happy? Well, that’s not all, you will also get the $50 Google Play credit along with the deal. No matter which way you look at this, it’s a great deal. For those that want this deal you might want to keep a look out on the Google Play Listing. The watch already seems to have gone out of stock. That said, it might pop back up so keep an eye out.
I actually own a G Watch myself, it’s been attached to my hand for about a month now and I’m really happy with it. The watch can easily get me through the day with the screen turned during that time and I’m what you’d consider a “heavy” user. I interact with my watch all the time and get tons of notifications during the day, so no worries there. Smartwatches are really not a necessity, more like something that can help you do certain things more productively, at least that’s the way I’m looking at it / using my watch. LG G Watch features a 1.65-inch IPS LCD display 280 x 280 in resolution along with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage. This smartwatch is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 400 processor which is used in the majority of currently released Android Wear smartwatches. The watch weighs only 63 grams and it connects to your smartphone via Bluetooth (4.0). 400mAh battery is built-in this watch and you’ll need a device running Android 4.3 or higher if you’d like to use this watch, in other words, pair it with your smartphone.
For those that cannot wait to see if the LG G Watch comes back in to stock. Then it is worth noting that you can also pick up the LG G Watch R for $299.99. Or the Samsung Gear Live for $199.99. There is also the Sony SmartWatch 3 for $249.99 or the Asus ZenWatch for $199.99. All of these also come with the $50 Google Play Store Credit. If you pick one up let us know which one you get. Happy hunting.
