HTC One (M8) Owners In India Receive EYE Experience Update

Earlier this year, HTC announced the RE Camera and the Desire EYE, both devices that focus very much on their photographic prowess and during their Double Exposure event, it became pretty clear that HTC want their devices to be known for their excellent camera experiences. At the heart of this was a new suite of features dubbed the EYE Experience and HTC promised that these features would hit their existing devices like the HTC One (M8). The company has kept their promise and many M8 users around the world have already gotten their update. Now, it looks like HTC One (M8) owners in India are finally getting the update.

Those in the region have been reporting that a fairly large software update has been rolling out with a software version of 3.35.720.1. If you’r unfamiliar with the EYE Experience from HTC, the below video should help you get to grips with the new features that your device is getting in this latest update. Otherwise, the headlining features are the ability to take a selfie with a voice command, a photo booth mode, some new editing features and and some skin smoothing that seems to be all the rage these days. It’s always nice to get updates and while I’m sure many of you are patiently waiting for the Lollipop update – which we caught a glimpse of recently – to show up, the EYE Experience does add some cool and fun new features to the overall experience on the HTC One and keen photographers will be keen to try out some of the new additions.

If you haven’t received the update yet, head on over to the settings, hit the about phone button and check for a software update. It shouldn’t take long to roll out to your device. Let us know in the comments below what you think of the latest update and tell us what your favorite new addition of the EYE Experience is.
