Meizu has announced company’s eagerly awaited MX4 Pro handset and the leaked info was basically spot on. We did, of course, get a ton of additional info along the way and have covered that in our official announcement and specs article, in case you want to check that out first. Meizu MX4 Pro is a real beast of a device and Meizu launched it only 2.5 months after they announced the original MX4 handset. Let’s skim over the specs real quick, MX4 Pro comes with a beautiful 2K display (2560 x 1536) along with 3GB of RAM and 16, 32 or 64GB of storage. 20.7-megapixel IMX220 camera by Sony is located on the back of the device, while you’ll find a 5-megapixel shooter up front. Android 4.4 KitKat comes pre-installed on the device with Meizu’s Flyme OS on top of it. 3350mAh battery is also included in this handset and it comes with a fingerprint scanner as well.
Anyhow, the device itself is rather similar-looking to the original MX4, save the capacitive “dot” below the screen and the sheer size of the device of course. This handset sports a relatively bigger screen than the MX4, 5.5-inches compared to a 5.36-inch display on the original MX4 handset. Metal is back again and it makes the device feel premium, the build is really solid and Meizu wants you to know that. The aforementioned “dot” below the screen is replaced with a fingerprint scanner which you need to push in order to active, luckily Meizu didn’t opt for a swipe-to-activate variant. Anyhow, the device comes in Gray, Silver and Gold color options and will cost you 2499, 2699 or 3099 Yuan ($408, $441 and $506 respectively), depending which version you decide to purchase of course.
All in all, this is a really great package Meizu has put together, it is obvious the company wants to achieve great success yet again, similar to the one they achieved with the original MX4.
