The sky is blue, the ocean is blue, smurfs and Avatar people are blue, eyes are blue, flowers can be blue, and newlyweds wear something blue, and there is a Midnight Blue Nexus 6. Google went a different route with a White and Blue model Nexus 6 rather than the usual White and Black – which I was fine with, because I like the color blue, too. Apparently Sprint like blue as well, because that is the ONLY color they will be carrying of the new Nexus 6 – Midnight Blue and only the 32GB model, according to our Reddit source.
The fact that Sprint only chooses to carry the more popular 32GB model is not as surprising, but for only $50 more they could sell the 64GB model, especially since there is no room for expansion via a microSD Card. While we know that Google wants us to use the cloud for storage more so than the device…more is ALWAYS better when it comes to memory.
Why they are forgoing the Cloud White option is a little strange, but then we are dealing with Sprint. It is possible they feel that the Midnight Blue will be the most popular color or that white devices just do not sell well enough to warrant stocking both colors…unfortunately, it is the Sprint customers that will suffer from the lack of choice.
Google made the perfect selection this year to have the New Nexus 6 manufactured by the popular Motorola Mobility that they purchased from Motorola a couple of years ago. The new Nexus 6 is a large variation of their popular Moto X smartphone…larger in size and specifications. The Nexus 6 retains that distinctly Moto X curved back, making it very comfortable to hold in your hand, even in the larger sized Nexus 6 – but make no mistake about it, the Nexus 6 is a two-handed device when it comes to texting.
The Sprint customers may be stuck with Midnight Blue and 32GB of storage, but they will still enjoy the large 6-inch QHD AMOLED display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels and 493 Pixels-Per-Inch (PPI), a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 quad-core processor clocked at 2.7GHz and coupled to 3GB of RAM. They will also enjoy a 13MP camera with a dual-LED Flash Ring around the lens, auto-focus with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), a huge 3220mAh battery, wireless charging and Motorola’s Turbo Charger.
Please hit us up on our Google+ Page and let us know if, as a Sprint customer, you are upset about Sprint limiting your options when it comes to the Nexus 6 on their network…as always, we would love to hear from you.
