Smart Watches are everywhere now. A year ago it was not really understood how the market would take to watches that acted like phones. But if 2014 is anything to go by then they are here to stay. The first of the Android Wear smartwatches only hit in the summer and yet already Samsung and LG have rolled out their second generation watches and nearly every other major OEM has announced their wearable or intention for one. That said, the big hitter was certainly Motorola’s Moto 360 which launched back in September. Since then this has been the watch to have.
Only yesterday AT&T announced they were getting in on the 360 action. This comes by way of the news that the Motorola watch will be available to purchase in-store and online come November 7th. Now, 24 hours later, and as we often see T-Mobile are making sure the light does not remain too long on AT&T by also announcing that they too are preparing the Moto 360 for general release. However, T-Mobile’s announcement was not quite as formal as AT&T’s with instead the news breaking via Twitter and the already infamous T-Mobile social networker @askdes. By reading the Twitter conversation it almost seems like T-Mobile were not planning on announcing, as the news came via a reply from Des to a customer asking about availability in light of the AT&T news. Either way, it is now confirmed that you can pick up the Moto 360 from T-Mobile starting November 12th. No details on price were provided although it will almost certainly be at the typical $250 price-point. However, if you are thinking about picking up a smartphone too, then it is worth remembering you can save $50 on the Moto 360 with AT&T if also picking up a Moto X.
Quick 360 reminder? Well the Moto 360 comes with a 1.56″ IPS LCD display with a 320 x 290 resolution. Inside you get 512MB RAM and a T1 OMAP 3 processor. As well as 4GB internal storage, the 360 is water and dust resistant, comes with a 320mAh battery and running on Android Wear. So what will it be? AT&T on November 7th or T-Mobile on the 12th? Let us know who you will be going with.
