Three UK Announces Pricing on the HTC Desire EYE

Last month, HTC announced the Desire EYE along with the RE Camera. We were in New York for the event and got a chance to check out both devices. AT&T here in the US has the exclusive on the Desire EYE – and it’ll be launching next week – while Three in the UK has picked up the exclusive. We already know pricing here in the US. But Three has just announced their pricing for the HTC Desire EYE. Pricing on Three UK is as follows:

“All You Can Eat data &All You Can Eat mins – £29 upfront and £38/month. OrAll You Can Eat & 600 mins or 2GB &All You Can Eat mins – £29 upfront and £35/month. 2GB & 600 mins – £29 upfront and £30/month. Or 1GB & 600 mins – £27 upfront and £29/month.”
Unlike previous Desire smartphones, the Desire EYE is not a mid-range device. It features a 5.2-inch display, which is 1080p. It also has 16GB of storage with a microSD card slot, 2GB of RAM, Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor which is a quad-core SoC clocked at 2.3GHz. It’s also got the Adreno 330 GPU inside. The bigger deal here is the cameras. On the back we’ve got a 13MP camera while the front houses a 13MP camera as well. Which is why it’s called the Desire EYE. For the big camera on the front that looks like an Eye. HTC has put a non-removable 2400mAh battery inside as well. It’s running on Android 4.4.2 KitKat with HTC Sense 6.0 on top. HTC also intro’d the EYE UI with the Desire EYE, which has also made it’s way over to the HTC One M8 and other HTC devices.
It’s a pretty decent phone, but again it’s an exclusive, so I wouldn’t expect it to do too well here. But if you’re on Three over in the UK, you can get your hands on it pretty soon. Still no release date just yet.
