Vivo Releases New Teaser Upcoming X5 Max Handset

Vivo rumors / leaks have been piling up lately. We’ve seen two Vivo-related leaks in the last week or so. Vivo X5 Max got certified by TENAA (China’s equivalent of the FCC) on November 5th and 5 days later Vivo Xplay 5S renders surfaced in China. According to the listing, Vivo X5 Max will soon become the thinnest smartphone in the world and take the crown from Oppo R5 which is currently holding that position. Vivo X5 Max will allegedly be 4.75mm thick, which is insane in a way, but it’s a selling point for some people I guess.

Vivo X5 Max will sport a 5.5-inch 1080p display, 2GB of RAM and a 1.7GHz octa-core processor, quite probably a MediaTek chip. 13-megapixel camera will also be included as well as 16GB of expandable internal storage. These are some solid specifications for this smartphone, though I believe battery life will be an issue here, but who knows. Vivo Xplay 5S will be company’s flagship handset with a 6-inch Quad HD display, 3GB of RAM and a Snapdragon 805 quad-core processor, if leaks are to be believed though. We’ve seen this handset leak in a couple of images, but I’m not exactly sure those are legit though, Vivo likes to tease their consumers with fake images from time to time.

Vivo has just released an X5 Max teaser poster in China which you can check above this article. Vivo puts an emphasis on the words “Hi-Fi” and “Slim” on that poster and as you can see the music is the main focus of the poster itself, judging by its background of course. Vivo doesn’t mention anything about the date this event will take place though, but I guess they will launch that phone soon considering the Vivo Xplay 5S should arrive by the end of this years, so I believe we’ll see the X5 Max launched before then. Both of these devices seem like solid offerings by this Chinese smartphone manufacturer, presuming Vivo Xplay 5S leaks are to believed of course. I’m not all that crazy for sub-5mm thin smartphones though, but it’s going to be interesting to see what will Vivo announce before the end of the year.
