Xiaomi Might Launch the Mi4S or Mi5 By The End Of The Year

It seems like this year is still not over for Xiaomi as far as device launches go. We’ve heard some rumors a while ago that Xiaomi intends to release 2 devices by the end of the year. We were unclear of what Xiaomi plans are for those devices, Redmi 1S and Redmi Note successors come to mind. According to some reports, we’re more likely to see something else launched though. Reporst are saying Xiaomi will launch Mi4S or Mi5, name is still somewhat a mystery, but according to this report we might see Xiaomi Mi4‘s successor of sorts, at the very least some sort of an upgrade. 2.5D screen was also mentioned, as well as the price range, this handset’s price will be higher than 1999 Yuan according to this information. We also have the alleged render of the device itself to share with you (located above this article). As you can see the render looks great, though we can’t exactly confirm this is the actual device of course.

Xiaomi Mi4 is already a great handset and doesn’t exactly leave all that much room for improvement if Xiaomi intends to keep the price affordable… and we know they intend to do so. Xiaomi Mi4 ships with a 5-inch 1080p display, 3GB of RAM and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor clocked at 2.5GHz. This handset also sports a 13-megapixel shooter on the back which is flanked by a dual-LED flash, there’s also a 5-megapixel camera on the front side of the device. Android 4.4 KitKat comes out of the box and Xiaomi’s MIUI is on top of it. As you can see, Xiaomi Mi4 is a really powerful piece of technology and if Xiaomi really intends to release some sort of an upgrade to it that would be great, especially if the price range is somewhere close to Mi4’s price.

This Chinese manufacturer is doing great lately. The company sold over 1.1 million handsets in China during Singles’ Day (China’s equivalent to Black Friday) and earned tons of cash while doing so. Xiaomi plans all sorts of expansions soon which might help the company climb even higher on the global scale, this company is currently world’s third biggest smartphone OEM. Anyhow, would you like to see an upgraded version of Mi4, or do you think that’s unnecessary?
