Bell Also Adds The Motorola Moto 360 To Its Smartwatch Lineup

Bell has been busy today, first announcing that new Sony SmartWatch 3 would be available at select stores and now they are also selling Motorola’s first smartwatch, the Moto 360, at their stores and online for about the same price (within pennies) of Sony’s offering, at $279.95.  Up until now, the Moto 360 was available in partnership with TELUS and in limited quantities at Best Buy and Future Shop.  When we announced just a couple of days ago that Bell would also be carrying the Moto 360 by mid-December, we had no idea that would be made available this quickly…with Christmas just around the corner, we are glad to see them available now for purchase.

We were also glad to see that Bell will make the Moto 360 available in the stores, as well as online – buying a smartphone unseen is one thing, but a wearable is a much more personal purchase.  It really needs to be tried on to see how comfortable you are with it before shelling out almost $300.  I now when I wear my watch, after a short period of time, I almost forget that I am wearing it – it rather becomes a ‘part of you’ – and the same thing needs to happen when you are wearing your smartwatch.  The Moto 360 and Sony SmartWatch 3 will help to bolster Bell’s wearable selection – up until now, they only had the Sony SW2, SmartBand and the Samsung Gear 2.

The Moto 360 is the first smartwatch to break the rectangle look and to go ‘old-school,’ with a big round face – a 1.56-inch display and a total of 46mm in diameter and 11.5mm thick.  The display has a 320 x 290 resolution and backlit LCD covered with Corning’s Gorilla Glass 3 for durability and scratch-resistance.  The Moto 360 is a smartwatch that actually feels like a genuine timepiece with a real leather band that is totally interchangeable with another leather or metal band.  It is also certified IP67 against the elements – so take a short swim or long shower while you are wearing the device. Please hit us up on our Google+ Page let us know if you will be picking up the new Moto 360 or another smartwatch for the holiday season…as always, we would love to hear from you.
