If you are a Google Nexus 9 owner then you probably saw last week that the so-called ‘Magic Case’ finally became available. This case was announced some time back but took its time becoming available to buy. The case first went live on the HTC website last week and was then shortly afterwards followed by its listing on the Play Store also going live. However, that was for the Polyurethane version. That said, the Play Store listing also did state that a leather version would also be available, although there was little details on when and where.
Well, it seems the day has come and the Magic Case leather version for the HTC Google Nexus 9 is now being listed online at Best Buy. Before you all rush over there though, you should note that it does not look like it is available to buy quite yet. The listing has gone up, although it is currently stating ‘Sold Out Online’. However, as the listing has made it up to the site, it probably won’t be too long, before it becomes available. In all respects, the case seems identical to the normal Magic Case and allows connection to the Nexus 9 magnetically. The case also offers the folded down angle for taking images when needed and protected when the camera is not in use. As such, the only difference is this one is leather-based.
In terms of price, the leather variant is up for $49 which is only $10 more than the non-leather version. With this in mind, the leather one looks fairly reasonably priced compared to the normal one. That is of course, as long as you find the normal one reasonably priced to begin with, as it is a little high for what the case does. However, if you want to keep your Nexus 9 protected then it might be worth the investment. Either way, if you are interested in picking one up then you should keep an eye on the Best Buy listing as who knows how long the leather option will remain in stock. Do you own a Nexus 9? Will you be picking up the leather Magic Case? Let us know.
