Google's U.S. Play Store Now Sells The LTE Nexus 9 Tablet For $599

Google Nexus 9 enthusiasts, those who don’t already own one and were waiting for the LTE variant, are now able to purchase the tablet from a couple of different places. T-Mobile just announced this morning that they’re finally carrying the device in their locations, and now the U.S. Play Store has the tablet up for order and ready to ship within a week. Specifically, the LTE Nexus 9 will leave Google’s Play Store warehouses by December 19th, and it’s the 12th currently so that is one week exactly. There is also a possibility that it would ship out before that date though, with the 19th being the latest possible ship date.

There are some catches to buying the LTE model though, which is the storage size and the color. You can only buy the LTE Nexus 9 in a 32GB model size, and it’s only available in the Indigo Black. That might be a problem for some people but most won’t care as the LTE capability is what’s the most important detail. If you wanted to pick one of these up it’ll cost you $599, but that’s the price you pay for a more premium tablet than previous Nexus tablet models when it comes with the capability to link up to your cell network for data connections. This is compatible with AT&T’s 4G LTE network, and when you activate the Nexus 9 on a 2-year agreement at an AT&T company-owned store, AT&T will give you a $100 bill credit.

For those who are unaware, the Google Nexus 9 comes with Android’s latest version of the OS on board, Android 5.0 Lollipop, and it’s powered by the Nvidia Tegra K1 processor which should provide you with some amazing graphics performance for games. It also carries an 8MP camera on the back, and a 1.6MP camera on the front. It’s also sporting an 8.9-inch IPS LCD display that’s protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3, and has 2GB of RAM on board. With the 6700mAh battery Google states that the LTE battery life while browsing should last around 8.5 hours, of course mileage will vary based off of each person’s uses. The standby time is a significant amount longer rated at about 30 days. If you aren’t keen on the Indigo Black or you just want the smaller size model, or the 32GB model without LTE, you can still buy the Nexus 9 from Amazon in both colors and storage size models on Amazon.
