Huawei To Announce 64-Bit Processor(s) On December 3rd

Huawei is one of the three smartphone manufacturers which also produce their own SoC, next to Samsung and LG. Interesting enough, all three of these companies are Asian. Anyhow, Huawei has been doing a great this year, the company has released a few really appealing (though expensive) devices. Huawei Ascend Mate 7 really got my attention, despite the fact it looks an awful lot like the HTC One Max, this handset really does have a lot to offer. This handset is powered by Huawei’s very own HiSilicon Kirin 925 octa-core CPU and comes with 2GB (16GB of internal storage) or 3GB (32GB of internal storage) of RAM, depending on the version you decide to purchase. The device sports a nice and sleek metal design along with a fingerprint scanner on the back and Huawei’s Emotion UI 3.0 OS, which has been significantly improved and refined. Huawei also has big plans for 2015, as company’s smartphone roadmap leaked, we’ve seen a ton of appealing devices on there. Aside from Ascend Mate 8 which will launch in 2015, the D8 handset will be Huawei’s flagship for 2015, or so it seems. You can check that article out by clicking here.

Some new information came our way regarding Huawei’s upcoming processor which will quite probably be featured in Huawei’s new devices. Kirin 920 and 925 are extremely capable processors, though Huawei’s 64-bit chips are incoming and the company decided to release a rather odd teaser image pointing to that fact. If you take a look at the image above, you’ll notice 2 walnuts and a number 64 next to them. This image is obvious and odd at the same time, but hey, it works I guess. You can interpret these 2 walnuts as you wish, but the fact is Huawei is teasing a 64-bit chip. Whether they want to symbolize a jump from 32 to 64-bit by placing 2 walnuts on that image, dual-core 64-bit processor or perhaps a launch of 2 64-bit chips, it really doesn’t matter. The only thing that matters is the fact that Huawei will announce this new SoC(s) on December 3rd, which is only two days away, so stay tuned, we’ll let you know as soon as we get more details.
