Huawei seems to be upping the ante lately. This Chinese smartphone manufacturer always had solid handsets, but their Ascend Mate 7 device was more than that. This phablet might not be for everyone, mainly because of its size, but it is definitely a well-built, high-end device with a solid UI offering. Huawei’s Emotion UI has come a long way since its earlier iteration, it is more than a solid UI now, it’s really pleasant to use actually and it looks good in my humble opinion. Anyhow, you might recall a Huawei Ascend P8 rumors we shared the other day and the image that goes along with that device. That handset sounds promising indeed, though that’s just a mid-range offering by Huawei, we’ve been waiting for more information when it comes to the rest of Huawei’s lineup and that just happened.
Huawei’s lineup list leaked and Phone Arena shared the news. There are some exciting devices on that list actually, so, let’s check it out. Ascend Mate 8 is there and unlike the Mate 7, it will sport a 2K display along with the new Kirin 930 processor and will be available in the fall according to this list, its price is expected to be around $650. The second device listed is Ascend D8, which seems to be Huawei’s flagship for next year. Aside from sporting a 5.5-inch 2K display, this beast will allegedly sports Huawei’s yet-unreleased Kirin 950 processor, a 64-bit chip. 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage will allegedly also be a part of this package and the device will reportedly land in May, though it might cost a hefty $800. The aforementioned Ascend P8 is expected to launch at CES in January and will sport a 5-inch display, 1080p display and a Kirin 930 CPU. Later in the year Huawei is expected to launch Ascend 5, 5X, 7 and 7X whose prices will reportedly range from $115 to $320. These handsets are expected to sport screens from 5-5.5″ in 720p or 1080p resolution.
This leaked info really does sound promising. Huawei Ascend D8 will be the ultimate beast if this info is accurate and Ascend Mate 8 might be just the thing for you if you just love huge devices. There is something for everyone on this list, 2015 will be an interesting year for Huawei.
