Huawei Ascend Mate 7 might be company’s best device in 2014. This thing is made out of metal, it look great, sports great build quality, has a great specifications and Huawei even improved its Emotion UI as far as both looks and functionality goes. Huawei didn’t sell tons of Ascend Mate 7 handsets, but they did sell quite a few and as soon as the device becomes available, it sells out rather fast, despite its rather steep price point of 3700 Yuan ($599). That being said, it seems like Huawei is preparing to release some sort of a special edition of this handset.
This Chinese manufacturer basically announced that they will release a new edition of Ascend Mate 7 tomorrow by releasing a teaser image on their official Weibo page. As you can see above this article, they mentioned the December 12th date and the device will look basically the same as the original Ascend Mate 7 looks. Huawei really likes to re-release their devices, they’re not a stranger to releasing “Sapphire” version handsets which usually sport the same or slightly tweaked specifications. According to the image though, this handset is called Ascend Mate 7 Monarch Version. That image also let us know how much will this handset cost, 4399 Yuan, which is 700 more than the original Mate 7.
According to the rumors from China, this handset might come with a Sapphire display too and it might have a slightly higher processor clock speed. Other than that, we’re looking at the same handset, at least according to the rumors of course. No matter which was you look at this, we’ll know everything we know tomorrow when the company will officially release this handset. Huawei has yet another release planned for December 16th when the company plans to unveil the much leaked Glory 6 Plus handset and quite probably the Glory 4X alongside it.
