Huawei Glory 4X Is Now Available For Pre-Order, Will Be Unveiled On December 16th

Huawei has already confirmed that the company will launch their Glory 6 Plus handset on December 16th, but it seems like that won’t be the only device we’ll see launch on that date. Huawei has released a couple of December 16th teaser during the last couple of days and we though that the company is trying to tease Glory 6 Plus with all of them, but it seems that’s not the case. According to the latest report, Huawei might actually launch up to 3 devices on the December 16th event. Glory 6 Plus will definitely be one of them, the other one is Glory 4X (more on that later) and the 3rd one is still a huge mystery, we don’t have a clue what else Huawei has planned. Keep in mind that we’re still not sure about all of this, but it looks like this is the only possible outcome at this moment.

Regarding the Glory 4X handset, Huawei already started taking reservations for the device basically, in China of course. This handset features a 5.5-inch 720p (1280 x 720) display along with 1 or 2GB of RAM, depending on the version you decide to purchase, Huawei is offering these two options. The main story when it comes to this device is its processor, this handset is powered by Huawei’s recently announced Kirin 620 processor which uses 8 A53 cores and comes with the Mali 450 GPU. We’ve talked about this SoC extensively, but think of it as Huawei’s Snapdragon 410 of sorts. This is a mid-range SoC and yet it offers a rather solid performance and the Mali 450 GPU is the weakest point of this chip. On the back of Glory 4X you’ll be able to find a 13-megapixel snapper, while there’s a 5-megapixel camera on the front side of the device. This handset will come with Android 4.4 KitKat pre-installed and will also pack a 3000mAh battery on the inside.

Both the 1Gb and 2GB versions of this handset will be available in gold color option as well. The 1GB version is said to cost 799 Yuan ($128.83) while the 2GB model will cost 999 Yuan ($161.08), though the handset could end up being even cheaper than that. We’ll know more detail on December 16th when this handset is set to launch, so stay tuned.
