Rumor: Possible HTC 'Hima' Specs Leak Out, Complete With Snapdragon 810

With 2014 drawing to a close, it’s time to look ahead to next year. When it comes to Android, each year gets going with releases from HTC and Samsung, and next year we’re all expecting HTC to release another device similar to the HTC One M7 and One M8. However, not too much is known about the device, aside from a codename that may or may not be the company’s name used for the device during development and testing. Now, what could be a list of specifications has leaked out, with some interesting hardware features being listed. There’s no telling whether or not this is a genuine list of course, so take this with the recommended amount of salt.

Upleaks has recently published a list of specs for the “HTC Hima” which include a 5-inch Full HD display (not a Quad HD display), a Snapdragon 810 with four cores running at 2.0 Ghz and another four running at 1.5 Ghz. 3GB of RAM is listed, but there’s no mention of how much storage space the ‘Hima’ has. Elsewhere, a 2,840 mAh batter is listed, along with Android 5.0 and Sense 7.0, both of which are hardly surprising to see on such a list. The device is aid to launch in three colors; Gray, Silver, Gold and Gunmetal Gold with dimensions of 144.3 x 69.4 x 9.56mm.

The interesting parts of this latest leak are the 20.7-megapixel camera and “13MP or 4MP UltraPixel Front Camera” suggesting that HTC is to ship a device with one rear-facing camera rather than the two that shipped with the M8. This also suggests that HTC is once again going to push a quality front-facing camera as they did with the M8 and the Desire EYE. Of course, there’s no telling whether or not these are genuine specs, and I’m not so sure about HTC shipping a device with a 1080p display in 2015. The only thing that seems to add up to me is the March 2015 release date, but I could be wrong. As always, these sort of rumors should be taken with a pinch or two of salt.
