Verizon Now Offers Users The Ability To Send Starbucks eGift Cards

Christmas is getting real close now and within a day or two you will have probably missed all the cutoff points for online delivery for any of those last minute presents. If you haven’t checked out the last delivery times then you can click here for a quick roundup of the major stores. After that, you know what it will mean, right? Yep, heading down to an actual bricks and mortar store and physically having to buy something. Who does that anymore? Well, if you are still stuck for sending someone a present and don’t really want to spend that much on them…I mean the present, then Verizon might have a quick-fix solution for you.

If you currently use the Verizon Messaging app, then the US carrier has today announced that you can now send Starbucks gift cards from your mobile device. If you are interesting in giving this a go and giving someone the gift of Starbucks then you will be able to send gift cards in $5, $10 and $20 denominations. The amount sent will be billed to the sender’s phone bill and will show up on the recipient’s account. They can then simply take their device into Starbucks, scan the code and collect their free triple venti caramel latte. Easy huh!

Of course, to take advantage of it, you will have to be a Verizon customer. Luckily though, the receiver does not need to be and according to Verizon you can pretty much send the card to anyone on almost any US carrier. The receiver can also add the credit to their Starbucks account of they already have the app download. So there you go. If you are stuck for a last minute present then this might provide the answer. It is only a coffee coupon, but everyone seems to like coffee these days. If you do not currently have the Verizon Messaging app installed then click here to head over to the Play Store listing.
