Yet To Be Available Samsung Galaxy A3 Peeked At In A 5 Minute Hands-On Video

It’s been a while since Samsung’s Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5 started showing up in the form of rumors and leaks. However, this is the first time we’re witnessing a full-blown video showing off this device. Although the Galaxy S3 is yet to go on sale, folks at HDblog managed to have some hands on time with the upcoming smartphone on tape. Unlike your daily leak, this one’s a full-blown 5 minute video, showcasing the Galaxy A3 in a variety of aspects. You can find the video at the end of this article.

The Galaxy A3 is supposed to be a budget phone, but one with a design better than other Samsung phones in its specifications range. This means that the Galaxy A3 will have a design similar to that of the Galaxy Alpha, which won a lot of accolades (albeit with a few accusations thrown in as well) after its launch earlier this year. The hands on video also goes on to show the Galaxy A3’s all-new theme engine, along with a couple of in-built themes that Samsung would be providing with the device. It finally looks as though Samsung has realized its TouchWiz look needs some change. These new themes work in a similar manner to Xiaomi’s MIUI theme engine, wherein the system kind of gets a new ‘paintjob’ with a different set of icons, and the general color language.

Like I said before, the Galaxy A3’s going to be a budget phone (at least as far as the specifications are concerned). It’ll have a 4.5-inch 960 x 540 pixel Super AMOLED display, the quad-core Snapdragon 410 64-bit SoC, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of on-board storage (expandable) and a 1,900mAh battery. The phone is designed to keep up with the latest social trends I believe, which is why it’ll have a 5MP camera on the front to go with an 8MP rear shooter. A build of Android 4.4 KitKat will run the show, topped off with the custom TouchWiz engine. No word on pricing yet, but you can expect that Galaxy A3 to be a bit dearer than other similarly spec’d phones for Samsung, for the plain reason that it’s going to look better, and be built better.
