80's Arcade Classic Q*bert Is Now Available For Your Android TV Gaming Pleasure

Last week we were talking about the lack of Android apps that seem to be available for the latest addition to the Android platform family, Android TV. Well, since then the Nexus Player (which currently is the only form of Android TV available) became much more widely obtainable due to its release through various retail outlets. With now more of a rollout, it is hoped more Android TV apps and games will become available. In the meantime though, it does look like one new game for Android TV has just become available and it is a cracker.

For those of you old enough to remember the original Ghostbusters movie, you probably also remember an arcade game which went by the name Q*bert. This was a strange game where you were this antelope thing and had to make your way to the top of a pyramid thing. Anyway, Q*bert went on to become an extremely successful arcade game throughout the 80’s and it has now found it’s way onto Android TV. The latest incarnation offers two games for the price of one (albeit they are technically the same game). The first is the original masterpiece in all of its 2D glory. The second offering is a rebooted version of the game, which has been remastered in 3D like style to offer the younger of your family members a chance to experience the highs and lows of being Q*bert themselves.

For the gamers out there who have never played Q*bert, if you like the PacMan and Donkey Kong style of gaming then you really should give this one a go. If you are thinking about downloading, then it is worth noting, unfortunately, this is not a free title and you will have to pony up $1.99 for the privilege. That said, this is a true classic game and is certainly worth a couple of bucks for the original alone. Let alone both the old and new versions. If you are already convinced then follow the source link below to head over to the Play Store or of course, check the Play Store on your newly purchased Nexus Player.
