Avy Smart Speaker Is The Android Powered Speaker System Making An Appearance At CES

CES is very much in full swing now. We have already seen quite a few of the big announcements from some of the big companies coming through. That said, we still have quite a few more still to come. However, if you are wondering what else is making an appearance at CES that won’t come with all the bells and whistles attached to the likes of LG, Sony and Samsung then you might want to take a quick look at a product being launched by Zettalya. This US startup company are bringing to the market a new android powered speaker. Now, this is not just a simple speaker which you attach your android device to, but instead comes with android built in and as such can be used as a standalone android powered entertainment system.

The speaker system, going by the name Avy Smart Speaker offers access to a number of apps, music videos, movies and TV shows. The only requirement the speaker system needs is a connection to the internet. The unit comes with a 7″ touchscreen display and 2 x 5W speakers. The device offers both WiFi and Bluetooth connection as well as a wired HDMI connection so you can connect to your big screen. As this is Android running (android 5.0 Lollipop actually), you can also use the system with non-media apps like Skype and the likes.

One of the other added benefits of this system is its portability which means the unit can be used or moved to anywhere in the home quite easily. Not to mention you can take it out on the road with you and use whenever you can establish an internet connection. If this sounds like something you like the sound of then you will have to wait until May to get your hands on the unit. Until then though you can check out the unit at CES this week. The Avy Smart Speaker will cost $169 once it finally goes on sale. However, it is currently available on Kickstarter and as such early backers can benefit from the early bird reduced cost of $99.
