For whatever reason, OPPO Find N5 is not coming to Europe either

OPPO has announced the world’s thinnest foldable recently. A phone that managed to attract a lot of attention, for a good reason, and then decided not to make it widely available. We’ve just found out that the OPPO Find N5 will not be available in Europe either.

As a reminder, OnePlus announced that the OnePlus Open 2 will not launch this year. That basically means that the OPPO Find N5 will not be rebranded, as its predecessor was. That automatically excluded the phone’s launch in the US, as OPPO doesn’t do business there.

OPPO decided not to launch the Find N5 in Europe, for whatever reason

Now the company has also confirmed that the OPPO Find N5 won’t launch in Europe. Needless to say, that’s quite shocking. OPPO does have a presence in Europe, but it’s not all about OnePlus. And yet, for whatever reason, OPPO decided not to make this phone available.

OPPO shared a statement with The Tech Chap and some other media personalities recently. The company said the following: “At OPPO, we carefully tailor our product launchers to each region based on in-depth market research and strategic priorities. The Find N5 will not be launching in Europe. Instead, In Q1 2025, we will introduce the Reno13 series across Europe on February 24, offering consumers more choices with cutting-edge AI features and stylish, trend-forward designs. Stay tuned for updates.

OPPO recently said that the “Find N5 marks new phase in OPPO’s global expansion”

When we consider that OPPO said, in its announcement, that the “Find N5 marks a new phase in OPPO’s global expansion”, this move is even weirder. The company managed to raise foldables to a new level with this device, basically and then decided not to make it available to the vast majority of people.

So, the device will be available in China, OPPO’s home market, sure. It will also be available in Singapore, where the launch event took place. Those are the only two markets that OPPO announced thus far.

It indirectly confirmed that it won’t be available in the US, and now confirmed that it’s not coming to Europe either. Samsung may as well celebrate this move by OPPO, and the same goes for HONOR.
