LG G Flex 2 Pricing Uncovered via Amazon

LG decided to use the CES 2015 show in Las Vegas to reveal its newest rendition of the curved LG G Flex 2, which proved to be slightly smaller and improved in all areas.  The original G Flex was a rather large 6-inches and only had an HD resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and a paltry 245 pixels-per-inch (PPI).  It looks like LG actually listened to their customers and made corrections in every area that the original LG G Flex was lacking.  The original also broke the $200 pricing barrier and jumped into that taboo area of $300 on a two-year contract.  The Samsung Galaxy Note series is also in that price stratosphere and now the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge has jumped the two-year deal to $400.

Everybody was wondering what the new G Flex 2 would cost, but it looks as though it could have been a lot worse.  The Amazon Germany or Italy listings (see below), it is in line with other flagships and priced at in Europe for EUR 599, meaning that it will probably hit the US for $600 – $650 off-contract.  The pricing is not bad considering its unique curved display and the fact that the G Flex 2 will not really be a smartphone that will sell like the next LG G4, but more of a specialty device.

The new LG G Flex 2 comes to us with a more mainstream 5.5-inch display – many complained that the original at 6-inches was just a little too large.  LG also upped the resolution from HD to FHD with 1920 x 1280 pixels and a great 403 PPI and they threw in Qualcomm’s latest 64-bit Snapdragon 810 octa-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz and 1.5GHz.  The RAM increased to 3GB with 32GB of built-in storage and the capability to increase that to an unheard of 2TB, although good luck finding one in the wild, as 128GB is about tops at this point.

The camera was also upgraded to the excellent one found in the LG G3 with 13MP, Laser Autofocus, OIS+ and a dual-tone LED flash with the FFC the same 2.1MP for social media selfies and video chatting.  The battery size decreased from 3500mAh to a still respectable 3000mAh, but gained Quick Charge 2.0 from the new Snapdragon 810.  The newest G Flex 2 will also be running the newest 64-bit Android 5.0 Lollipop as well.

So our question to you is simple – do you think that the new LG G Flex 2 is worth the asking price and secondly, will you be picking one up?  Please hit us up on our Google+ Page and let us know what you think about the LG G Flex 2…as always, we would love to hear from you.
