Meizu M1 Mini Back Cover Leaks; The Company Teases Their January 27 Event Again

Meizu enjoyed great success in 2014, the company has relesed three new devices from September to December and all of them sold really well. The MX4 and MX4 Pro were the company’s flagship handsets at launch, while the one that launched in December, the M1 Note, was marketed as the perfect mid-range device for “young people”. We had the chance to review both the MX4 and the MX4 Pro and both of them deserved the attention they got, if you want to get a flagship handset for significantly less cash than usual, either of these handsets is worth it. As far as the M1 Note goes, its price tag is incredible, and no wonder it in high demand in China.

Even before the M1 Note launched, there were talks that the smaller, 5-inch version, of that device might launch alongside the M1 Note. That didn’t happen, but it will soon. Meizu has already teased their event for January 27, where they will most certainly launch the M1 Mini, or whatever they decide to call it. This will basically be the smaller version of the M1 Note, we don’t expect any differences as far as the design and specs go. If you take a look at the gallery down below, you’ll see a leaked back cover of the M1 Mini, which looks exactly like the M1 Note’s back cover, but smaller.

The second image below the article shows Meizu’s latest teaser, there are three different circles in that image and a date, January 27. Some tech sites assumed this means that Meizu will launch three different devices on January 27, but I do believe this only means that the three main Chinese carriers will offer this device, nothing else. I’m talking about China Unicom, China Telecom and China Mobile of course. Either way, January 27 is still two weeks away and I’m sure we’re going to see some additional material before this handset launches, but I really don’t expect Meizu to launch any additional hardware at that event. Meizu M1 Mini will feature a 5-inch 1080p display, 2GB of RAM and will come with support for 4G LTE connectivity. 13 and 5-megapixel cameras will also be a part of this package, same goes for MediaTek’s MT6752 processor.
