There has been an absolute shed load of rumors and speculation around Samsung’s latest flagship offering, the Samsung Galaxy S6. The speculation has included everything from a plastic back to a metal back to even a glass back. Not to mention we have also heard about 3GB RAM and then 4GB RAM. While there has also been a seemingly unending debate as to whether the S6 will actually come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor or Samsung’s own Exynos processor. The latest on this last point was only raised today with the most current information suggesting that Samsung will opt for their own processor over the Snapdragon latest.
Well, if you have not had enough rumor gossip yet then here we go with the next hourly S6 installment. The folks over at BGR have just released a report suggesting that they have seen images of the next Samsung flagship device and although are not able to post those images, they can at least verify a number of specs which are going to be included. According to the article (source link below), the Samsung Galaxy S6 will come with a 5.1-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display with a 577 ppi. The report also notes that the display will offer “stunning outdoor visibility” and a “super dim mode for late night”. The display will also come with Gorilla Glass 4. Following on from this, the Galaxy S6 inside will include a 64-bit eight-core 14nm processor and be available in 32 and 64GB internal storage variants, with additional microSD card storage up to 128GB. In terms of cameras, we are apparently looking at a 20-megapixel rear shooter with OIS along with a 5-megapixel front-facing option with real-time HDR.
Additional features mentioned in the report include a 2,550mAh battery with built-in wireless charging. Not to mention the S6 will apparently be able to offer a four-hour usage on a ten-minute charge and offer Cat.6 LTE support. Interestingly, in terms of one of the more controversial aspects of the S6 (the rear cover), the report suggests the body will be made up of “metal and glass”.
