Rumor: HTC Sense 7 UI Will Include An Avatar Maker Feature To Help Personalize Your Device

If you are an HTC fan then it has been an interesting time over the last few weeks. It was no secret that HTC are expected to release a new addition to the HTC One M family and it was supposed that it would be the HTC One M9. Makes sense, right! Well, over the last few weeks we have seen a number of leaks, suggestions and downright misleading info about the next HTC device. This all began when reports emerged that the next HTC device will not be part of the One M coded family and instead would be something completely different. Following on from this, the now common codename ‘Hima’ emerged. Since then we have seen a whole load of presumed specs and possible images. That said, we don’t really know for sure anything solid about the HTC One M9 or Hima.

One thing which is a little more certain though, is that as well as a new flagship device, HTC are working on a new UI. This is expected to be far more predictable and following on from the previous HTC Sense UI in the form of Sense 7. Although again details of what Sense 7 will bring are limited, one you think you can count on, is that it will be very much dosed with Material Design throughout. That said, one interested leak which has come about is a couple of screenshots from what seems to be a new feature which will be included in Sense 7.

To rest your mind at ease about the authenticity of the leaked screenshots, these were released by a known tipster Upleaks and as such are one of the more reliable leaks we have seen. That said, you can never know for sure about any of these. As for the feature, it seems Sense 7 will include an avatar maker which effectively will allow users to create their own avatars for their devices. You can see in the images below a basic look of how the feature will work and function. Now, of course, such a feature only has limited importance but that aside, it is nice to see what type of new features might be included in HTC’s new Sense 7. If you are interested in the rumored specs, then it was recently confirmed by an AnTuTu listing that the next HTC device will come with a 5″ display with a 1080 x 1920 resolution. Inside, it is expected the device will come with 3GB RAM and Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 810 processor. The rumors are also suggesting a 20 MP rear camera, 13MP front shooter and a 2840 mAh battery are on the table too. So what do you think of Avatar Maker? Something you would like to see on the next HTC device? Let us know.
