While it is CES time right now, Samsung has still been making all the headlines with it’s upcoming Galaxy S6. Earlier we had all the official accessories that Samsung will be offering with the Galaxy S6. And now we’ve got word from the guys at Sammobile that the Galaxy S6 will come with Sennheiser earbuds.
To some people, this may not matter, but to others it definitely matters. Audiophiles will definitely love having these Sennheiser earbuds in the box with their Galaxy S6. However, it’s important to remember that the carrier variants will likely not come with these earbuds as they don’t typically have earbuds in the carrier variants. At least here in the US, and that’s probably to keep the cost down, while keeping profit up. Although Samsung is doing some different things this time around, so I wouldn’t rule it out.
There’s no word on which pair of earbuds Samsung will be using from Sennheiser, although I’m sure we’ll get that info a bit later on. We could also see a limited edition of the Galaxy S6 with these Sennheiser earbuds. This wouldn’t be the first time either. As HTC did it with the HTC One M8 last year on Sprint. The HTC One M8 Harman Kardon edition. So it’ll be interesting to see what happens here.
Looks like we’re getting close to the Galaxy S6 announcement, as we’re seeing rumors flying around all over the place now. Samsung does have a press conference today at CES in Las Vegas, but I don’t really expect them to announce the Galaxy S6. That’ll likely be closer to Mobile World Congress, but with Samsung you never know. They might be panicking about their profits more than we know and want to get the device out there sooner.
