Videocon is a rather versatile India-based company, which also manufactures smartphone devices. The company has listed four new devices on their official webpage, Infinium Z50Q Star, Infinium Z50Q Lite, Infinium Z40 Lite and Infinium Zest Lite. The Z50Q Star is a mid-range smartphone offering, while the other two devices are definitely low-end handsets. Anyhow, let’s check out their specifications and see what they have to offer.
The Infinium Z50Q Star features a 5-inch 854 x 480 display along with 1GB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage expandable via microSD card up to 32GB). This handset is powered by a quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz and it comes with a 2,000mAh battery on the inside. Android 4.4 KitKat comes pre-installed on this device and we’re talking about a dual-SIM smartphone here. The Infinium Z50Q also offers 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth and GPS connectivity. 5-megapixel camera is located on the back of this handset and is flanked by an LED flash, while there’s a 2-megapixel snapper available up front. This device is going to be available in Blue, Red and White color options. The Infinium Z50Q Lite features similar specs to the Z50Q Star, but it has only 512MB of RAM and offers a VGA front-facing shooter, not the 2-megapixel camera.
Videocon Infinium Z40 Lite sports a 4-inch 800 x 480 display, 256MB of RAM and 2GB of internal storage which you can expand via microSD card up to 32GB. This handset is powered by a 1GHz single-core processor and this is also a dual-SIM handset. Android 4.4 KitKat comes pre-installed here and the device ships with a 1,450mAh battery on the inside. 3.2-megapixel shooter is available on the back along with an LED flash, and there’s also a VGA camera located on the front side of this phone. 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth and GPS are of course available here as well and the device will be available in Black with Silver and White with Silver color options.
The last device we’ll talk about here is the Infinium Zest Lite. This handset features a 3.5-inch 480 x 320 screen along with 256MB of RAM and 512MB of in-built storage (expandable via microSD card up to 32GB). This device comes with Android 4.2 JellyBean and is also a dual-SIM handset. 1,400mAh battery ships with the device and you get two cameras here, 2-megapixel shooter on the back (+LED flash) and a VGA front-facing snapper. This handset offers 2G connectivity, no 3G is available. Wi-FI 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth are available however. The Zest Lite will be available soon in Blue, Black and White colors.
Videocon listed all these devices, but they’re not available just yet. They’ll be available soon, but the company didn’t give us the specific date, so stay tuned if you are interested. These handset will be extremely cheap, especially the last two models, though I would never recommend someone to buy a phone with 256MB of RAM. I guess there’s a market for such handsets out there though, Videocon wouldn’t manufacture them if that’s not the case.
