Leaked images of the HTC One M9 have already surfaced in the last couple of weeks along with alleged leaked benchmarks, and today we get a few more leaked images of the alleged next flagship from HTC clad in gold. If this is truly the HTC One M9 or whatever HTC ends up calling it when they launch the device, the duo camera has indeed disappeared supporting the rumors and theories that HTC will be opting for a single, higher quality camera this time around. In regards to this, if they do end up using just a single camera we hope the camera quality will produce a little better picture than the last couple of flagship devices.
Since these are just leaks we can’t speak with any sort of certainty that this is the official device. It’s possible that this is a leak of a prototype unit that will undergo some changes before the official unveiling and eventual launch. It’s also entirely possible that these are finalized designs of what the phone’s outer body will look like when everything is all said and done. In these image we can see the single rear facing camera accompanied by a dual led flash to the left of it. Just eyeballing the photos it looks like it could be slightly bigger than the HTC One M8, although it does still appear to be a little taller as opposed to wider like on the HTC One M7.
We’re expected to see the upcoming flagship device from HTC at this year’s Mobile World Congress event which is scheduled to begin on March 1st, but we may end up getting a showing of more than just the HTC One M9 as there have been rumors of an HTC One M9 Plus smartphone which we can only assume is the larger model similar to the HTC One Max from a couple of years ago. So far the rumors are speculating that the M9 will come with a 5-inch display and that the M9 Plus will only be slightly bigger at 5.2-inches, and if that’s true than although these images make the phone look a little bigger than the M8 the M9 will actually end up being exactly the same size when it comes to the display. It’s also rumored to be sporting 3GB of RAM, the Snapdragon 810 CPU and 32GB of internal storage space with Android Lollipop out of the box. MWC 2015 is only a few weeks away, and perhaps we’ll learn more officially from HTC at the event.
