For the processor, we have a 2.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 complimented by 3GB of RAM. OnePlus has some issues in the Indian courts and the phone was banned at one time in India. The issues were over the use of Cyanogen as the phone’s operating system. Cyanogen had originally made an exclusive deal with Micromax to have the operating system placed in their YU smartphone. They YU was an entry level phone and because such, the courts eventually lifted the ban on the OnePlus One when it was decided that it did not pose competition since it contained higher end specifications and was not considered in the same category as the much lower equipped YU.
OnePlus has priced this phone to compete with the Xiaomi Mi 4. Xiaomi has sold over a million phones in India and is in the same price range as the OnePlus One. India is a huge market, and as cell phone makers are offering more powerful phones at a better value we should see those numbers increase exponentially. For now you can head over to Amazon if you live in India and use your invite to secure your own version of this amazing phone by OnePlus.
