Report: Samsung Galaxy S6 And Galaxy S6 Edge To Sport "All-Metal Bodies"

Samsung has already sent out invitations for their March 1st event where they will announce the company’s new Galaxy S6 flagship. This event will be held at MWC (Mobile World Congress) in Barcelona and we’ve been hearing a lot of rumors and reports regarding what Samsung might announce. According to the info we have thus far, and the new report from Bloomberg, the company will announce the regular Galaxy S6, and the much-talked about Galaxy S6 Edge handset which will sport a dual-curved Edge display.

Let’s start from the beginning, both of these handsets are said to sport “all-metal bodies”, this actually sounds like neither of them will sport the Note 4-like build. As you all know, the Galaxy Alpha started a new design trend in Samsung which combines metal and plastic, and according to the information, these new handsets might step away from that to some extend and increase the use of metal. I’m still not convinced Samsung will do this, but we’ll see. Anyhow, the Galaxy S6 will allegedly retain the screen size of its predecessor, in other words, it will sport a 5.1-inch display on the front.

Now, regarding the other Galaxy Note Edge-like model. This device will, according to the report, sport curved displays on both left and right side, unlike the Galaxy Note Edge which has a curved display only on its right side. This handset is also expected to sport the 5.1-inch main display, along with two additional vertical ones that will be curved on the sides. It remains to be seen if any of this info is true, but I’m intrigued. I wasn’t exactly the biggest fan of the Galaxy Note Edge back when it was announced, the whole curved screen thing really doesn’t appeal to me and the device seems rather cumbersome to hold. I’m interested in seeing this device though, I’m really wondering how will it look in the end and if it will be easy to handle or will the side displays be a problem.

That being said, what do you think about all this? Are you interested in either of these devices and have you had the chance to play around with the Galaxy Note Edge yet, or perhaps own one?
