Google’s Nexus 6 is a powerhouse device. If you were not impressed by the big specs, then you must have been impressed by the big screen. Not to mention, at the very least, you must have been impressed (or maybe depressed) by the real big price. Especially when compared to the previously and cheaper Nexus incarnations. That said, there is little arguing with the fact, that the Google Nexus 6 is a device to have. When the Nexus 6 was originally unveiled back in the last few of months of last year, Google were quick to point out that the device will be (for the first time) available on all major U.S. networks. In fact, this was presumed to be the reason as to why the Nexus 6 kept selling out on Google Play. There simply was not enough stock left over from all those purchased by the carriers.
As such and in due course, all the carriers announced their Nexus 6’s as in stock and ready for you to sign-up to your new two-year contract. That is, except one, Verizon. For some reason, the Nexus 6 just did not make its way over to Verizon. Well, now we find ourselves in February of the following year and Verizon are still not offering their customers the Nexus 6. However, if you are a big red customer and have been waiting for the Nexus 6 to land, then it looks like you are at least a step closer to getting one. Kind of.
It seems Verizon is now (kind of) officially announcing the Nexus 6 as ‘coming soon’. On the Verizon website and once you actually search for “Nexus 6” in the search box, the window pops up with a banner stating that the Nexus 6 is indeed coming soon. How soon, Verizon mean by ‘soon’ is debatable. That said, at least there is what seems to be some kind of movement on the matter. The banner also offers users the ability to sign-up for updates, which presumably will inform you first as to when the device actually becomes available via Verizon. So if you are genuinely interested in a Verizon Nexus 6, then you might be best off signing up. Of course, if you want the device that badly you can just pick it up from any of the other carriers or directly from Google Play and Motorola.
