Meizu is one of the fastest growing Chinese smartphone manufacturers. This company, much like Xiaomi, makes premium-built affordable handsets which can compete with more or less anything available out there. Meizu MX4 Pro is the company’s current flagship, it was launched back in November, and it’s considered one of the best smartphones that have come out of China in 2014. The 16GB version of Meizu MX4 Pro originally cost 2,499 Yuan ($408), the 32GB model was priced at 2,699 Yuan ($441), and the most expensive, 64GB model carried the 3,099 Yuan ($506) price tag. This is, of course, China-only pricing, and Meizu has discounted the MX4 Pro in the meantime, so the 16GB version now costs 2,199 ($351). We’re not here to talk about the pricing in China though, but to let you know that the international reseller, Oppomart, has decided to discount the MX4 Pro. The Meizu MX4 Pro sports a 5.5-inch 2K (2560 x 1536) display along with 3GB of RAM and 16, 32 or 64GB of internal storage. This handset is powered by Samsung’s Exynos 5430 octa-core processor which comes with Mali-T628 MP6 GPU for graphics processing. On the back of this handset, you’ll find a 20.7-megapixel IMX220 sensor from Sony (Exmor RS) while there’s a 5-megapixel shooter up front (OmniVision’s sensor). The MX4 Pro ships with Android 4.4 KitKat and Flyme OS on top of it, while a 3,350mAh battery is also a part of this package. The device measures 150.1 x 77 x 9mm and it weighs 158 grams. This is a 4G LTE capable handset and it also sports a push-to-activate fingerprint scanner below the display (home button).
