Samsung appears to be launching a “Duos” version of the upcoming flagship for 2015, as a Galaxy S6 Duos seems to have been spotted in a leak in both the regions of Russia and the Phillippines. The Duos devices from Samsung are simply different variants of existing devices which carry the capability for Dual-Sim support, something that is typically seen for smartphones and tablets in other regions around the globe. Since this is just a leak nothing is yet official, and Samsung themselves haven’t confirmed the existence of the Galaxy S6 Duos so far. If Samsung does indeed launch a Dual-Sim variant of the Galaxy S6 there is no telling if they’ll launch it at the same time as the other two phones, although the original Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge are due for launch in the second week of April.
Much of what consumers will expect from the original device looks to be present within this model, which suggests the main and probably only difference will be that it’s going to have the options for supporting two SIM cards for those who have the need to operate two separate accounts from different carriers, something that is quite common for people in need of a device that can easily be used during travel. According to high-tech.mail.ru where the leak was spotted, the device comes in Gold and will cost consumers 52,000 rubles and will come with 64GB of storage, which is one of the storage size models that Samsung listed would be available for the normal Galaxy S6.
If the Galaxy S6 Duos gets released there is no details in regards to whether or not Samsung will offer the device in any other colors than what has been listed in this leak, or if they’ll offer the phone with variable amounts of internal storage or if there will only be a 64GB model. In addition to the price and the internal hard drive space for the phone, consumers can also expect 3GB of RAM, the same rear-facing camera set at 16MP, a 5.1-inch Quad-HD display, 2,550mAh battery and an Exynos 7 octa-core processor with the device running on Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box.
