This morning it was reported that Huawei’s sub-brand, Honor, had announced that their phablet sized device, the Honor 6 Plus was going to land in the UK in the coming months. This was as a Three based exclusive and marked the first time the device was venturing across the waters and into Europe. At least in terms of in-store stock. The announcement came from Honor at this year’s MWC event in Barcelona. Following on from this, it now seems another Honor device is going to make its way to Europe in the coming months as well.
The Honor 4x is another decent spec/low-cost device offered by Honor and was also first announced to the Chinese market at the same time as the Honor 6 Plus. Again at MWC today the news has come that the 4X will indeed make its way to Europe soon. Unfortunately, it was not clear as to whether this one is following in the direct footsteps of the Honor 6 Plus and heading to the UK, specifically as a Three exclusive. Either way though, the 4X will be en route. In terms of pricing, it seems the device will be available around the €200 marker, which makes it a viable option for a decent mid-range device.
If you are thinking about picking one up and want to know what you get then here is a quick spec rundown. The Huawei 4X comes with the same size screen as the Honor 6 Plus measuring 5.5″ in size, That said, this one comes with a lesser 720p display compared to the 1080 on offer with the Honor 6 Plus. Inside, the 4X is equipped with 1 or 2GB RAM (this is dependent on version and there is no indication at present of which one will land in Europe yet) and powered by Huawei’s 64-bit Kirin 620 Octa-core processor. Camera-wise, the 4X comes with a 13MP rear shooter coupled with a 5MP front-facing camera. Additional features on offer include a decent sized 3,000mAh battery and running on Android 4.4 (KitKat) with Huawei’s Emotion UI on top. Will you be interested in the Honor 4X when it lands in Europe? Let us know.
