HTC One M9 in Stock at Carphone Warehouse in the UK

HTC’s latest and greatest, the HTC One M9 – which we recently reviewed here – has yet to go on general sale in the US, but it’s in stock and ready to ship across the pond in the UK. Our US readers can pre-order the HTC One M9 from Amazon, meanwhile Carphone Warehouse in the UK has the One M9 in stock and ready to ship whenever, on a number of different contracts and price plans. The only colors that Carphone Warehouse have in stock are silver and gray, but those interested in the gold options can head to Vodafone or EE.

At Carphone Warehouse, there are a number of different contracts available, but if you’re interested in not paying anything up front for the phone, then you can start from plans at £37.50 a month on O2, but this gets you a paltry 1GB of data. If you want more data than that, you’re looking at something like £43 a month for 4GB of data from Vodafone. Of course, if you want to purchase the phone outright, you’re looking at a cost of £579.99, which is pretty steep, but then again we need to remember the device has only just launched. Carphone Warehouse isn’t too bad a place to shop for the HTC One M9, especially if you’re looking for advice on which contract is the best for you. Having said that, it might work out better value to purchase the device after trading in your old device and getting a SIM-only contract from someone, after all Three offers unlimited data – including 4G – for less than £25 a month.

As smartphone contracts continue to lock buyers into 24 month contracts, prices of smartphones like the HTC One M9 will continue to rise, and it’s no surprise that this is close to £600 unlocked. With the Galaxy S6 launch around the corner on April 10th, those looking for one of the latest devices to hit the market have a tough choice ahead of them. One thing to note is that if you find a cheaper deal elsewhere, Carphone Warehouse will match this deal and pay for your first month of service.
