HTC’s talk of the town may be the One M9 now that the pricing and availability have been officially listed by the company and numerous carriers, but HTC has two other phones reported to be on the way that will be worth consideration for some customers. Rumored devices known as the HTC One E9 and the HTC One E9 Plus are said to be currently in development and according to Upleaks who is known for tossing out random bits and bites of information on yet unreleased handsets, some of the specs are already out in the open.
The specs listed were not in full detail and at this point with no confirmation from HTC they should still be considered rumors. According to the Tweet posted earlier this afternoon by Upleaks, the HTC One E9 and the HTC One E9 Plus are on their way touting at least a couple of decent features. The rumors state that the HTC One E9 will come packed with a Full HD display, however, there has been no mention on the size of the screen for this device just yet. The tweet also lists the One E9 as coming with a 13MP rear-facing camera, while the HTC One E9 Plus gets a significant bump in both areas, jumping up from Full HD like on the One E9 to a WQHD or Quad-HD(2K)resolution display with a 20MP rear-facing camera instead.
Upleaks didn’t mention the size of the display on the HTC One E9 Plus either, but the size for this device has already been rumored to be coming in at 5.5-inches, placing it more into the phablet sized device realm. There are also rumors of it coming powered by a MediaTek manufactured MT6795 octa-core processor accompanied by 3GB of RAM, which could make the device a pretty formidable smartphone when it comes to performance. Other than the specs listed above, the only other thing that has been leaked about either of these devices is that they’re thought to be housed inside of a plastic body instead of the metal unibody design of the HTC One M9 and previous devices, which would likely end up giving them a slightly more affordable price range without having to skimp on the other hardware.
