MWC may be over, but that does not mean the news has to stop or has stopped. Yesterday, leaked images popped up seemingly showing the HTC One M9 Plus. For those that don’t know, this is the offshoot One M9 device which had been expected to be launched alongside the One M9 at MWC. However, in spite of its lack of appearance and based on the images seen yesterday, it does look like it is still en route.
Well, to add to the continuing HTC rumors, the same source who leaked yesterday’s images is at it again and had now leaked some more HTC images today. Although, these ones are not of the One M9 Plus but instead of the more recently rumored HTC One E9, or from the look of the images, the HTC E9. This device was first reported a few days back and looks to be a budget version of the One M9. Similar to how the One E8 from last was thought of as a budget version of the One M8. According to the details that were leaked previously, the HTC E9 is expected to come with a 5.5-inch WQHD display. Inside the device is expected to be equipped with 3GB RAM and rumored to be powered by a MediaTek’s (MT6795) 64-bit octa-core processor (clocking at 2 GHz). Additionally, the HTC E9 is rumored to come with 32GB internal storage, a 20-megapixel camera, BoomSound speakers and come running on Android 5.0 (Lollipop) out of the box.
Well, the latest images do seem to confirm a number of the details provided. The camera in the images shown below does look similar to that seen on the One M9 which is a 20MP shooter. Not to mention, the images do seem to show what is probably BoomSounds speakers at the bottom of the device. Lastly, it looks like the body of the device will be primarily plastic, which will be one of the defining differences between this and the One M9. Anyway, take a look at the images below and let us know what you think and if you are interested in the HTC E9.
