If you are a lover of custom ROMs or just generally of having a greater level of access to your smartphone, then you will also be a lover of rooting. Unlocking a smartphone can offer users the ability to do so much more to (and with) their smartphones and typically rooting is one of the first steps in this journey of opening your device. That said, some devices are much harder to root than others. These harder-to-do devices typically become the subject of a bounty where developers are encouraged to find root access in a more competitive manner.
Take the DROID Turbo by Motorola, for instance. Root access on this device has been quite hard to come by so far and as such, was one of the devices to see a bounty put on its rooting head. Well, hope came a couple of weeks ago when a video popped up online seeming to show the DROID Turbo achieving a rooted status. This led to many DROID Turbo device owners looking forward to the day when they will be able to also root their device and take advantage of the many benefits of rooting.
Well, if you are one of those owners eagerly awaited the time for rooting your Turbo, then it now seems that you can actually root your device. However, it will cost you. In fact, it will cost you $20 to be exact. MOFOROOT (source link below) is a site where you can root your DROID Turbo device. The program will effectively allow you to flash any image onto your device and therefore accessing root along the way. The site does kindly let you check if your particular device can be rooted before you do pay for the service. However, once you are verified, you will need to make the $20 payment before being able to move forward. If you want to know more about the service then you can click this link which will take you over to the XDA support thread for MOFOROOT. Alternatively, you can watch the video below which will show you how the process works. Be warned though, the video runs a cool 15 minutes. Otherwise, hit the source link below to head directly over to MOFOROOT.
