Motorola has announced their entry-level 2nd-gen Moto E device in a rather interesting way. It was reported quite recently that this device will launch in India really soon, though we weren’t given the exact date, well, it’s time to change that. We just got the confirmation that the company will launch Moto E in India on March 10. We still don’t know if they will launch both 3G and 4G models though, or will they stick to the 3G model only. Motorola has already confirmed that the 3G variant of this device will retail for Rs. 6,999 in India, and this device will almost certainly land in a dual SIM variant only, as most devices do in India.
When it comes to this device’s specs, we’re talking about a 4.5-inch 960 x 540 IPS LCD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on top of it, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD card up to 32GB). The 3G model of this handset is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 200 quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz, which ships with an Adreno 302 GPU. The 4G variant, on the other hand, ships with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 64-bit quad-core SoC which runs at 1.2GHz and comes with an Adreno 306 GPU for graphics. 5-megapixel camera is located on the back of both variants, same goes for the VGA shooter which is available on the front side. The Moto E (2nd-gen) measures 129.9 x 66.8 x 12.3mm and weighs 145 grams. Android 5.0 Lollipop comes pre-installed on this device with some added apps from Motorola, but it’s mostly a stock experience.
Motorola Moto E is one of the best entry-level devices you can get in that price range. If Motorola decides to release the 4G LTE model in India as well, that device is going to cost about Rs. 8,999, that’s just a guess though, of course. There you have it folks, the company will release their Moto E handset in less than a week in India, any takers? Also, make sure to let us know what you think of this device in the comments, we’d love to hear from you.
