Today, Apple is talking about their watch, the Apple Watch. Yeah I’m still having trouble not calling it the iWatch either. Before their event, Google put out a new ad for Android Wear, showcasing a bunch of different smartwatches that are running on Android Wear. So we thought it’d be a good time to do a nice comparison between a bunch of these watches. Below is a nice comparison of the Moto 360, LG Watch Urbane, Huawei Watch and the Apple Watch. Obviously the Moto 360, Huawei Watch and LG Watch Urbane have similar specs, and all three run Android Wear. While Apple’s Watch is the odd duck. And it’s running a version of iOS.
All four watches are beautiful, and fit different needs. The Moto 360, Huawei Watch and LG Watch Urbane all run Android Wear which will be compatible with iOS very soon (likely around Google I/O which is coming up pretty quick). The only watch, out of these four that are actually available is the Moto 360, and it’s flat tire design.
Smartwatches are still an early adopters thing. But that’s going to change sooner rather than later. Remember smartphones and tablets also started out this way, heck even laptops started out as an early adopters product. And we see what’s happened with those products. Now that Apple’s in the game, I do believe we’ll see a lot more of the “average consumers” going after smartwatches. Whether they are the Moto 360, the LG Watch Urbane or LTE version, or just the Apple Watch, it’ll be great for the industry.
Check out the widget below, it’ll show you all the specs you’ll ever want to know about these smartwatches.
