T-Mobile, not to be like many of the other carriers during this Mobile World Congress, has released news and a video regarding the just-announced HTC One M9. And guess what T-Mobile customers, the M9 is coming this spring to the big magenta carrier. Des, the product expert of T-Mobile’s online presence, also gives us folks a look at and around the new One M9. First and foremost, it’s great news to hear T-Mobile make its statement and ‘we will carry this soon’ promise to customers. The big magenta carrier has been rocking the market with its various Un-Carrier alterations to plans and services, and those are what will help to make the M9 stand out for and on T-Mobile. The just-announced HTC One M9, as those who were watching or heard, has some rather beastly yet manageable specifications to its name this year. It’s got the latest silicon from Qualcomm in the octa-core, 64-bit Snapdragon 810, which is paired with the as-rumored 3 gigabytes of RAM. It’s got that still-stunning 5-inch 1080p display, which is prime to show off the newly-refinished and customized Sense 7 overlay on top of Android 5.0 Lollipop. This year, the One got a camera improvement, moving the Ultrapixels, all 4 of them, to the front, leaving a 20 megapixel sensor with dual-tone flash on the back. The phone also has the still-popular Micro SD card slot, to add to the 32 gigabytes of internal storage already there. And to power the package is a 2840 mAh battery which, with the 1080p display, should provide similar if not better longevity than the M8 from last spring.
Now, T-Mobile, also a star here, showed off the device and Sense 7 itself, and the Uncarrier has some add-ons, thanks to its moves last year, to enhance the device’s capabilities further. First is the still-popularizing wi-Fi calling capability, allowing normal phone calls to be made from a capable phone using the Wi-Fi inside a place instead of that awful reception that always cuts out mid-sentence. There’s also the data, both that high-speed and rolling data, that T-Mobile has for you to use with the M9. The HTC One M9, optimized to take full advantage of all of T-Mobile’s speed and power, will be able to let you live that online life faster, smoother, and in more places.
The One M9 is exactly the phone we saw a week ago, but that doesn’t make it any less special and impressive to see the existence of.
