We finally got our review unit of the LG G Flex 2 in the house. It’s the Volcano Red model from Sprint, and it looks just as hot as it does in the pictures. Just as a reminder, the LG G Flex 2 does have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor inside, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, along with a 5.5-inch Plastic OLED curved 1080p display. There’s also a 3000mAh battery inside powering the device. There’s been talk of this one overheating as well, although not as much as with the HTC One M9. We’ll have to do more testing to see if people should really be worried about it overheating, but so far there’s been no issues. So far, pretty impressed with the device, but obviously it’s still early as I’ve only had it for a few hours.
While a lot of people don’t love the idea of a curved smartphone, the LG G Flex 2 does fit quite nicely in the hand. LG has also improved the self-healing back that debuted on the original LG G Flex last year. So if your keys scratch up the back of the LG G Flex 2, it should heal itself right up. We’ll have to do some more testing on that as well. LG has added Android 5.0 Lollipop on the LG G Flex 2. There doesn’t seem to be a ton of changes in the UI of their skin, but there’s plenty of Lollipop features shown in their Optimus UI. First place you’ll really notice Android 5.0 Lollipop is the lock screen, with the notifications.

However, the Samsung Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge and HTC One M9 will be talked about a whole lot more than the LG G Flex 2 over the next few weeks.
